Here we are!  Disney!  Just kidding!  Mom couldn’t resist driving through on our way to Orlando.  Don’t worry Mickey, we’ll see ya real soon!

The real destination for 2 nights.  We were all just happy to be off the road awhile!  We had dinner reservations but no other plans!

We had free time so we ordered Flippers Pizza and set up the Playstation since we knew we had more free time.  Feav’s pizza and Mom’s steak & cheese sandwich arrived.  Feav remembers the pizza was amazing fresh but reheating it was not so good.  We spent the afternoon exploring the hotel, playing some games and Mom finally got an afternoon nap!  Good think we rested up because tonight we dine like royalty!

The first of 2 castles we would be visiting this trip.  Medieval Times!  Finally, we made it.  There’s a back story here. Way back when I had my Make-A-Wish trip I was given vouchers to eat here as part of the wish trip.  We ran out of time and never had a chance to go.  Actually every trip that we thought about going the same thing happened… no time.  This trip we scheduled a night just for the castle!

Accessibility is odd here and definitely could use updating.  As you can see, we’re in a top row of the green section.  (Knight Leon don’t let us down!)  To get here required a backstage adventure including an elevator and cutting through the kitchen.  There’s just some parts of dinner theater I’d rather miss.

Our seats were amazing, don’t get me wrong.  We had a great view of the arena and the actors remembered to interact with our section as well as the main section.  It was just the trek getting there was a little… different.

Hello Santa!..errrr… Kingy!  If you’ve never been to Medieval Times you might not understand how this place works.  There’s a show going on in the arena with royalty, jousting, horses, and sword fighting.  While all this is going on you’re having a candlelight dinner including roasted chicken, sweet buttered corn, tomato bisque soup, herb-roasted potato, garlic bread and a pastry.  Sounds delicious and authentic right?  It’s definitely authentic because you are served all this with NO utensils!

Feav wasn’t excited about this but in the end it wasn’t so bad.  Everyone really enjoyed the food.  It was well seasoned and there was plenty to fill your belly.

I also want to brag on this place.  As some of you know, due to my SMA’s progression I can’t eat many things now.  I was at Medieval Times purely for the show.  I feel kinda jipped at these type places sometimes because I pay the same whether I eat or not.  I knew there was nothing on the menu for me so we told our server I wasn’t dining.  I hate wasting food.  Our server actually went above and beyond and made my dinner to go so my family could enjoy it later.  Now that’s some royal treatment!

Naturally me and Feav had an amazing time!  The show was amazing and the place was totally themed!  A geeks paradise!

Mom was initially just along for the ride but surprisingly she really enjoyed it!  Obviously her geeky children are rubbing off on her!

The show came to an end and we headed back to the hotel to get some sleep.  Tomorrow we were heading to a very special place.  DESTINATION: Give Kids The World Village
